OK guys just saw an Article from September that is still pretty relevant. How long do you think a link lasts on social media...from the time you post it to when it loses relevance. Take a guess... Well, the people over at Bit.ly measured the "half-life" of a link (the time it takes a link to receive 1/2 the clicks it will ever receive after it’s reached its peak) and here are the results, from different social media platforms: The mean half life of a link on Twitter is 2.8 hours. As we approach 2012, it's clear that social media is going to continue to invade every aspect of our lives, and that's not a bad thing.
