How to Create a LinkedIn Post from a URL

You can quickly create a LinkedIn post by providing a URL.

Follow these steps:

  1. In the left-side menu, navigate to Create.
  2. Select Use Content from a URL from the displayed options.
  3. In the provided field, paste the URL you’d like to use.
  4. Ensure the URL is valid and begins with http or https.
  5. Invalid URLs will prevent post creation.
  6. Note that only publicly accessible pages (no login or session required) are supported.
  7. Click Generate to proceed.
  8. The platform will create three suggested post ideas for you.
  9. To see the full text of any idea, select Show More.
  10. If you’re not satisfied with the options, click Regenerate New Ideas to receive new suggestions.
  11. Once you find an idea you like, click Select.
  12. A feedback form will appear – rate the suggestion with a thumbs up, thumbs down, or provide comments in the text box.
  13. If you prefer to skip, click Cancel to move forward.
  14. You’ll then be guided to add visuals and finalize your LinkedIn post.
