How to Use Content Planning on Authentic.ly

Content planning helps you map out what to publish, when to post, and which themes to focus on—letting you set a clear posting schedule and auto-generate up to one month of content in advance.

Phase 1: Configure Planning Preferences

Before generating any content, you must configure your planning preferences.

  1. In the Create & Plan menu, click Settings.
  2. In the drawer, select the desired frequency of posting per week.
  3. Choose the specific days of the week you wish to post.
  4. For each selected posting day, enter the topic or theme for that day’s content.
    • Alternatively, click Help Me Pick Topics to receive AI-suggested ideas.
  5. Click Save to apply your content planning preferences.
Phase 2: Generate Content

After saving your settings, proceed to content generation.

  1. Click Plan Content.
  2. Select your date range (start date and end date).
    • You can select a maximum of 30 days and cannot select past dates.
  3. Click Generate.
  4. A confirmation dialog will indicate that content planning is in progress.
  5. Click Close.
Phase 3: Review and Finalize Posts
  1. Once generation is complete, you will receive a notification via the notification bell.
  2. Reload the page to view the generated posts on the calendar.
  3. Each selected posting day will now display a generated post title.

Please note that these generated contents do not yet include visuals and are not scheduled for publication. Only scheduled content will be published to LinkedIn.

Adding Visuals
  1. To add visuals, click any generated content in the calendar.
  2. In the modal, choose a visual type and click Generate LinkedIn Post.
  3. You will be redirected to the creator page.
  4. Inside the creator:
    • If you are satisfied with the generated visual, click Save.
    • Otherwise, you may regenerate the visual or select an alternate visual from the left-side tabs.
Scheduling the Post
  1. To schedule the post, go to the LinkedIn tab in the left menu.
  2. Click Schedule Post and confirm the action in the modal.
  3. You can manage all your posts under My LinkedIn Posts.
